The Look

of intensity…

Giacomo

Giacomo is all business when it comes to training. Judging from the look on his face, mental preparation is just as important as any warm-up. What do you think about to help start, sustain, and finish your workouts?

I think about different stuff depending on the day…

    Lately,

To start: beating Peter Fredell on pull-ups

    To sustain: Skinny jeans!!!

To finish: winning a dare against Tsan

I’m at a point this summer where I’m just excited to see how much more I can do than the previous weeks, just the tiny stuff is exciting.

And I usually hear Mani in my head, “you can do this, Renee”, helps!

Long term, remembering I’m doing this for me and my family and not to be over dramatic but to help me be emotionally strong. As we recently got a reminder, just how dangerous Rune’s job can be- I need to be strong; emotionally, mentally and physically.

and break as many personal records as possible!

  4. Steven says:

    To start: eating the burger

    To sustain: eating the burger

To finish: eating the burger (+ dessert)

  5. Shari says:

To start: Try not to think

To sustain: Counting reps to drown out the “you can’t do this” voice

To finish: Lately, it’s “just one more (circuit, rep, lap, etc.) I can always do one more…
