Power Lunge?

Split Snatch

Not quite. Although the split snatch is not as popular as its cousin, the squat snatch, the complexity of it provides our nervous and muscular systems with a great workout too.

Multi-joint, closed kinetic chain exercises involving strength and speed should be practiced under minimum loads while the body first adapts to the movement pattern(s). Though only 8 months postpartum, Amy is beginning to incorporate some power moves into her regimen. Of course, this is done safely using a light dumbbell until her body is ready for the big dogs next time!

I love seeing Amy at the gym, building her strength back up. She’s so focused and unassuming. You’d never know what a rock star she really is. I can’t wait until the day she busts out 10 pull-ups like it was nothing. Talk about someone making pull-ups look effortless!
