At the AKC Classic, Ivan Denisov (absolute world champion) completed 169 jerks with two 32 kgs. kettlebells in ten minutes. This is the equivalent to 11.89 tons in work volume. Get inspired.

    His record is 175 reps; undefeated in the history of KB sport. Side note: Ivan flew all the way from Siberia to support the sport and the competitors. The flight to Vegas took over 40 hours with all the stop-overs. By the time he went for his set it was 1am in his home town (sleep time for him). Ivan is a machine and also one of the nicest guys around.

    I know he is amazing at what he does, thats not my point. Why do a lot of people refer to the volume of their workouts as how much total weight is moved, even when their workout combines different exercises. As it would take a different amount of energy for the different types of exercises, done at different speeds with different weights. 12 tons for leg press is nothing like 12 tons for kb snatch, same with snatch and jerk.
