Thanks to Catherine Imes’ idea of a nontraditional cross-world kettlebell event, nearly fifty IC members stepped up to the challenge at our in-house meet. All of the participants are beginners, most with less than six months experience practicing the methods of the AKC/WKC. Each of them chose to train for the competition as an extracurricular goal outside of their general fitness regimen at the IC.
Enjoy this video celebrating their commitment, determination, and family fun!

Wow, this is great–it let’s me relive some of the excitement and great vibe of this event! I was so proud of EVERYONE, and glad to be part of the IC (even though a gimpy one at the moment…) Thanks for the great event, and now the great memory enhancing video!

Wow ! I am really impressed. This is what it is all about. Everyone getting together , having a great time , and doing something to improve their lives. I’m thrilled to see the children involved. This should serve as an example for all to see.Outstanding !

Who said KB’s can’t be fun?? This was great-the kids participating and I think I even saw a fireman stripper (?). I hope this becomes an annual event. You guys all rock!
Thanks for sharing the video. I am so bummed we were out of town and missed this. It looks like everyone had a blast. Now, what was Rune doing in his uniform?
That’s amazing! I had a huge grin, ear to ear, the entire clip. It was so inclusive, creative and fun. I have to add to the sentiments above that it was so awesome to see the kids and whole families involved. Keep up the great work you guys!
